Ruth Ida Fish, 96, of Sturgeon Bay, handed away on Might 26, 2024 at her dwelling in Sturgeon Bay, surrounded by her household.
She was born Sept. 21, 1927 in Algoma, the daughter of Frederick and Anna (Gleitchner) Wierschke. Ruth attended Algoma Excessive College and graduated with the category of 1945.
On June 14, 1947, she married Bernard Joseph Fish. Ruth and Bernard lived in Sturgeon Bay. Ruth labored within the medical area for 43 years.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary. Ruth loved Nation music, knitting, gardening, baking, hen dinners, dancing, journey, driving within the Mannequin-T, motorbike rides, and most significantly, her husband and having her household round.
Ruth might be missed by her three sons, Larry Fish, Steve (Brenda) Fish, and Mike (Judy) Fish; two daughters, Beverly (Steve) Eckert and Judy (Jeff) Clark; seven grandchildren, Jason Fish, Bryan Fish, Amy Dunham, Michael Eckert, Stefanie Lindstrom, Sarah Clark, and Marissa Fish; daughter-in-law, Barb Fish; and one surviving sister, Joyce Clark of Forestville.
She was preceded in dying by her husband, Bernie; son, Wayne Fish; her dad and mom; and sisters, Verna Sperber and Delores Clark.
Ruth’s life might be honored with a funeral service held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 10:45 am in Sturgeon Bay, with Father Matthew Rappl officiating. She might be laid to relaxation in St Joseph Cemetery in City of Sevastopol.
Visitation for household and associates might be held from 4 – 7 pm at Huehns Funeral Residence in Sturgeon Bay. Visitation will proceed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church from 9:30 am till time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations could also be directed to the household for memorials to Ruth’s favourite charities.
