Obituary: Mitchell F. Kwaterski – Door County Pulse – Cyber Tech

Feb. 18, 1938 – July 4, 2024




Dr. Mitchell F. Kwaterski peacefully left his residence and entered everlasting life on July 4, 2024, becoming his fiercely impartial spirit.He was born on Feb. 18, 1938, in Inexperienced Bay, to the late Leo and Louise (Netols) Kwaterski, the place he grew right into a lifelong Packer fan. Mitch led a lifetime of service and generosity, grounded in his Catholic religion. He graduated from Premontre Excessive College, St. Norbert Faculty (BS in biology), and Marquette College College of Medication (MD). Upon graduating, Dr. Kwaterski interned at Anchor Hospital in St. Paul, MN, served within the US Navy as a 1st Lt. on the Naval Academy in the course of the Vietnam Warfare, and accomplished a residency in otolaryngology at UW-Madison. He practiced medication at Ear, Nostril and Throat Surgical Associates in Appleton from 1972 till he retired on the age of 71.




Mitch met the love of his life in highschool and married Carol Simons on July 7, 1962, at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church in New Franken. The couple loved 62 years of marriage, throughout which they raised 4 youngsters, and loved welcoming 9 grandchildren and 6 nice grandchildren. Having realized to like crusing on the Naval Academy, Mitch spent a few of his happiest occasions crusing together with his household and associates on Lake Winnebago and across the Door County Peninsula.




Mitch was energetic in lots of group {and professional} organizations, together with serving as President of Ear, Nostril, and Throat Surgical Associates, Chief of Surgical procedure and Chief of Employees at St. Elizabeth Hospital, President of the Outagamie Medical Society, and Commodore of Excessive Cliff Yacht Membership. He was an enthusiastic tenor for greater than 30 years within the Holy Angels (and later St. Paul) Church choir. He discovered artistic expression in woodturning and designing furnishings.




Mitch is survived by his spouse Carol; youngsters and spouses Kim (Duane) Lewis, Michele (Eric) Paulsen, Jeff Kwaterski (Isabel Manalo), and Melissa (Martin) Scanlan; grandchildren Michael Ennis, Brittney Lewis, Jacob and Benjamin Paulsen, Bella and Fia Manalo Kwaterski, Dominic, Lucas and Clara Scanlan; siblings in regulation: Nancy (Noren) Kwaterski, Lois (Vince) Koehler, and Kay (Carl)Deprey. and lots of nieces and nephews.




He was preceded in dying by his dad and mom, Leo and Louise Kwaterski, 12 siblings and in-laws: Agnes (Meredith) Nielsen, Beatrice, Celestine (Paul) Bickel, Dominic (Pat Maloney), Edmund (Garnet Schott), Felicia (Herman) Van Beckum, Genevieve (Raymond) Hoepfner, Helen (Cletus) Pierquet, Isadore (Carol Piewe), John, Kathleen (Richard) Hujet, and Sr. Louise.




A Mass of Christian Burial will happen at 11 am on Saturday August 3, 2024, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mixed Locks. Rev. Bob Stegmann will officiate. Visitation for household and associates might be from 9 am till the time of Mass at St. Paul’s Church. Wichmann Funeral House is honored to be serving the household.
