Obituary: Karen Ann de Younger – Cyber Tech

Karen Ann de Younger, age 76, died peacefully on June 19, 2024, abandoning a legacy of dedication and repair to her household and her neighborhood.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1947, to the late Gordon and Unis (Breuer) Brown. Karen graduated from Xavier Excessive College after which went on to attend Cardinal Stritch College in addition to UW Madison and UW Fox Valley. She married the love of her life and highschool sweetheart, the late Mark de Younger, in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 28, 1969.
After finishing her schooling, she launched into a satisfying profession in schooling as a instructor at Saint Joseph’s Center College. Karen’s drive to make a distinction prolonged past the classroom. She served as the manager director of the Outagamie County Chapter of the American Pink Cross for 19 years, the place her management and compassion impacted many lives. She was a long-time member and president of the League of Ladies Voters of Appleton. She additionally served on the Appleton library board of administrators. Karen obtained the Paul Harris award from Rotary Membership for her excellent contribution to her neighborhood.
Karen loved touring, was an avid reader, and energetic in her neighborhood. Karen and Mark constructed a life collectively in Appleton, the place they raised their three sons. They finally retired to Door County the place they relished limitless sunsets, chicken watching, volunteering, and spending summer season Sunday afternoons cheering on the West Jacksonport Ports county league baseball workforce.
Above all, Karen treasured the time spent along with her household and grandchildren. She took immense pleasure of their accomplishments and happiness. Her presence made these moments gratifying, leaving her youngsters and grandchildren with many cherished reminiscences.
Karen is survived by her youngsters: Benjamin (Carrie), Nicholas (Lindsay), and William; her grandchildren: George, Jack, Frankie, Lydia and Sylas; her sister Kathy Brown (Mark); and lots of different kinfolk and pals. She is preceded in loss of life by her dad and mom and her husband Mark.
A memorial service shall be held to have fun Karen’s life on Wednesday, July 17, 3 – 6 pm at Riverview Gardens, 1101 S. Oneida Road, Appleton, WI. In lieu of flowers, the household requests that donations be made to the American Pink Cross in her reminiscence.
