Obituary: Peter Joe Laxo – Door County Pulse – Cyber Tech

Dec. 31, 1954 – Might 30, 2024

Peter Joe Laxo, age 69, of Hancock, Michigan handed away unexpectedly at dwelling Might 30, 2024. Peter was born Dec. 31, 1954 to Axel and Immi Laxo. He  lived the vast majority of his childhood in Republic, Michigan (Just a few years had been spent residing in Kellogg,  Idaho.)  Peter attended Republic-Michigamme Colleges the place he was very lively in baseball and basketball.  He graduated in 1973. Work on the shipyards introduced him to Sturgeon Bay the place he lived for a few years. Peter moved again to Michigan and lived in Ishpeming,  Republic and the final 15 years in Hancock. 

He’s survived and will likely be vastly missed by his 2 kids. Kristine (Larry) Sawdo and Michael (Sierra) Laxo. 5 grandchildren,  Alexander and Reilly Sawdo and Ariel, Angelica and Michael Laxo, 3 Brothers and 1 sister. Frank (Shirley), Duane (Lori),  Gordy (Geri) and Amy Laxo, and lots of nieces, nephews and cousins. His dad and mom Axel and Immi Laxo preceeded him dying.

Peter will likely be perpetually remembered for his love of music and studying. He was an avid reader and loved listening to all kinds of music The Beatles being his all time favourite.  He collected vinyl albums for a few years switching to cds when vinyl turned much less in style.  Peter collected cash from throughout and had an in depth rock and gem assortment.  He was particularly pleased with his pin assortment which he proudly displayed on his many, many hats. He continued to be lively in Baseball and Basketball all through his grownup years.

The household want to thank The Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service – Hancock Chapel, The Hancock Police Division,  and his landlord Robert Stites for all their assist throughout this tough time. 

There will likely be no service for Peter. The household says crack open a pop, throw on some basic tunes like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, or Jethro Tull and reminisce in regards to the good instances with Pete.
