The 2024 EAC Community Digital Convention, held Saturday February 24, noticed a document variety of attendees.

Agenda

The occasion kicked off with a brief presentation on the EAC Community assets obtainable by WeConservePA, adopted by a lightning share session that includes transient shows from 9 EACs on tasks and initiatives taking place throughout the state. Matters included: battery recycling program (Charlestown Township), vacation string gentle recycling program (Whitpain Township), community-based clean-up program (Metropolis of Allentown), Floating Gardens (Doylestown Township), birdwatch space native plant restoration undertaking (Whitehall Township), the professional’s and con’s of a regional EAC (David Ross), Getting By the Noise (City of McCandless), and strategies to advise boards of supervisors on considerations (New Hanover Township). The morning plenary was adopted by six further periods throughout three breakouts: Inching Our Solution to Wholesome Yards and Streams, Local weather Motion Planning: What Can Municipalities Do?, Oh Deer! Administration Choices for Municipalities, Greening Communities: City Agriculture and City Forestry, Placing the Dimmer on Mild Air pollution, and Advancing Sustainable Methods Communities are Managing Family Waste.

  • Registrants had entry to 7.5 hours of coaching.
  • Complete registration for the occasion was 186 people.
  • Thirty-nine environmental advisory councils had been represented, with a further 5 municipalities with out EACs collaborating.
